| Hello all. Yet again I apologize for not updating any of you but to be honest, we've been waiting for the update ourselves. I'm gonna start from the beginning. In February, 2008 our record label, TVT records filed for bankruptcy. As most of you know we were planning a Feb/March 08 release for our new album, Still Standing, however due to the bankruptcy everything has been put on hold. On June 19th, TVT was sold in a private auction to a company called The Orchard. The Orchard is an independent online music distributor, the largest in the world in fact with offices in almost 30 countries. This is great news for us because we are finally off of TVT and finally rid of a label that was ultimately destroying our career, not to mention the careers of every other artist on their roster. We're stoked to start working with The Orchard and getting the necessary support we need to market this new record worldwide! However there's still a bit of a wait ahead, you see The Orchard is an online distributor, not a typical "record label" yet. They are now in the process of staffing what will become their "record label" division and from what I understand they will be hiring some fairly "top" people, also great news for us!. But because of this we are now looking at a March 2009 release. I know that sucks, sucks for us too believe me, we're so excited about this new record, it's really fuckin good and it will come out! In the meantime we'll be playing a few shows, mostly in Canada however we're hoping to get into the US as well. We're talking about a potential acoustic tour, which could be very cool! And we may even hit the studio to record a few cool cover tunes to tide everyone over. We are truly sorry about keeping everyone waiting and we appreciate the e-mails letting us know that you're still out there! Hopefully you all can hang in with us a little longer, ok like 9 months longer, but it will go by quick! Being a part of this new label is going to be a great thing for us and we're grateful to have our fans stick by us through the tough times, thank-you!

| Okay everyone I know you have all been waiting patiently for the new c.d. and so have we. If anyone knows what has been going on lately with the Label and the difficulties it has been going through right now than you must know the frustration had by all effected. If you don't know what has been going on I will fill you in on a later date. The c.d will still be released we just don't know when right now. we do have some shows coming up so check in for details on where we will be and you can come out and check out a couple new songs as we are itching to show them to you. We do have a title for the new release. "Still Standing" We think that it really sums up what and where we all are at this point in our personal and professional lives. Thanks to all of you that have stuck with us through all the years, your support and dedication inspires us and helps us get through all of this and keeps us on our feet. Hence the title "Still Standing".

| NEW ALBUM IS FINISHED!!! Yes kids, you heard it here first, and it'll be out before summer! We're still in mixing right now but we, management, the label are all very happy with how it turned out. We're looking to start touring this year in March/April and we're working on bringing a few new elements to the show as well. Hopefully you're excited, we definitely are! As for other things, the holidays were good, we all had a fairly low key Christmas and then off on the 27th to play a few shows in the cold Canadian prairies. We did Regina, Winnipeg, and Saskatoon on new years eve. All great shows, the latter 2 were with Buck Cherry, always cool to see those guys! We played 2 of the new songs, titles "Little Too Late" and "Goodbye" so maybe you can find a glimpse on You Tube or something. Or you can just wait a couple months and purchase the whole CD, then experience the songs in far better fidelity! So let's get geared up people, Default 2008 is coming!

| I'm not even going to apologize this time because it's getting old. Hey everybody, even though "everybody" has probably dwindled down to 6 or 7 people because I never update the damn journal. We have been busy though, still haven't hit the official studio yet but it's coming, I can feel it! We're still refining and re-refining the tunes and I've been getting busy with my producing gig too so I haven't had much time to journal or blog at all here. Everything is going well though. I wish I had something interesting or specific to tell you all but I don't. This is downtime as far as fun goes. Haven't been drinking, haven't been to any parties, nothin! That's ok though, sometimes you have to hunker down and work you know. You can't always party! Seriously guys, this will all get a lot more interesting once we're at least in the studio, let a lone when we get back out on tour. We've had a couple of random weekend shows throughout Canada, leave on the Friday, get home on the Sunday, not a bad gig to tell you the truth. I just had my kids in September last year and I know I'm not gonna like leaving them for months at a time. However you all need the rock, and we must provide it. It will be worth the wait. Till next time, much love ya'll!

| Hello my friends, it's me. Wow, two journals/blogs in a month and a half. I'm back baby! Ok maybe not but it's better than it used to be. Anyway, things are still kicking ass here, been putting in some crazy hours crafting these songs to the last detail. They are sounding great though, we're super excited to get this one out. We're hoping to hit the studio by the middle of April and then it won't be long from there. We have started to book shows for the summer too so hopefully we'll be seeing all of you soon. Been working on the new show a lot, coming up with new intros and endings, new jams, and pulling out some old material that we haven?t played in years, it?s always fun to pull out an oldie and see if we can make it through the whole song on the first try. It doesn?t normally happen though. So that's the update for now, we've still got another month or so here of pre-production. We've got our rehearsal studio set up in Jeremy's basement, it works out great cause most nights Jeremy cooks dinner, the man's got the culinary touch what can I say! So thanks yet again for hanging in there with us and being great fans. We can't wait to show you what we've been working on! Until next time?

| Hello friends, here is the first journal entry for 2007. However it's no longer just a journal anymore. It's a "blog" now, which apparently is a fancy and stupid name in my opinion for a "news letter", or an "article". But now instead of visiting our website on a regular basis just to find out that Danny still hasn't written another journal, you can visit our myspace page and find the very same thing, nothing! Ok now, that's not very nice.
| Welcome to the first official Default Blog/Journal, and what a way to kick off 2007! I am sorry for taking so long again, but I do have a good excuse this time. We have been super busy writing and demo-ing new songs for what will eventually be our fourth record. And so far, it's really good. We've enlisted Bob Marlette as producer again, which we're really excited about because he made us sound so good on "One Thing Remains", and we've got a few other ideas to make this record the best one yet. We're hoping to have it finished and ready to go by the summer/early fall. Don't consider that a release date by any means, it all depends on when we're done. We're not rushing anything on this one, and yet we're working harder than we've ever worked before. We are trying new things and exploring new and deeper styles, however the roots will remain the same, and I can't wait till it's done so we can show it to all of you!
| So I will do a better job on keeping you all posted on the progress. We've just finished demo-ing the first three tunes and we hope to have two or three more ready to record in a few weeks. Can't wait to see you all on the road again soon and thanks again for hanging in there with us. 2007 is gonna be a good year!

| Hey everyone, ya ya this one takes the cake. What was it April since the last journal entry? Well once again I do apologize, I've been a bit lazy about keeping up with the "PR" stuff.
| Anyway, how's everyone doin out there? We're all doing great. We've pretty much been doing weekend shows all summer and right now we're taking a bit of time off because I am having babies in the next few weeks here. That's right, babies, twins, two of the bastards.
| Well enough about that, the shows we have been playing have been going great. I think this summer has been one of the most fun summers to date. We're just enjoying playing a lot right now, I think it's because we're not all cramped up in a stinky bus for months at a time. We fly in somewhere on a Thursday, play a couple of shows, and then head for home on Sunday. It's the perfect way to tour. However we are potentially looking into something in the fall, nothing confirmed yet, but we'll see.
| As for this time off we're just enjoying the home life, relaxing, golfing, it's nice to take a break now and then. Oh yeah, and go check out my new website, www.dannycraig.com. I'm sure I've mentioned in past journal entries that I've been dabbling in the field of producing, anyway that's what this site is all about, check out some of the bands I've recorded, pics of the sessions, music samples, all sorts of fun stuff. We've also all givin in to the myspace trend with our own personal pages so if you find us, drop us a line.
| Anyway, that's about it for now, more shows to come later in the year, hope to see some of you there!

Happy St. Patrick?s Day everybody! I?m not currently wearing anything green nor am I planning on drinking any green beverages. But the spirit of the non-stat holiday still burns inside of me. Ah who am I kidding, I don?t even know who the hell St. Patrick is. I know he?s Irish, I think! Anyway, things out here are busy. We?ve done 13 shows in the past 14 days and it is definitely wearing on us. However the shows are going great, they?ve all been either sold out or very close to and I gotta tell ya that it feels pretty good. We?ve also been having fun with our merchandise lately. We?ve been grabbing random things from our bus and selling them at the merch table. For example we?ve sold three boxes of baking soda, one box of mostly eaten cereal, five used drum heads, Dallas? acoustic guitar that we smashed one night when we were drunk, and one carton of granulated sugar. So far it?s kept us quite amused and that?s about the only way to stay sane out here. That and the excessive drinking. Aside from that not much else is new. We?re excited to get home in just over a week here, only for three days mind you but we?re excited nonetheless. Anyhow, like I said before I am not currently wearing anything green nor am I planning on drinking any green beverages. However there is something green on the bus that will fill us all with St. Patty?s day cheer. Mmmm, that smells good!
